It’s 2025. I have worked all my life. I have never claimed benefits. I have a state pension but no pension credit and no WFA. I can only afford to have my central heating on a couple of hours a day thanks to electricity prices. I really don’t think I should have to be freezing in my own home.

I've just got a notification from the DVLA to apply again. It does seem somewhat of a waste of money when the over 70 demographic is increasing at the rate it is. The DVLA will only have an increasing number to deal with every year. Abolishing the stupid ageist would be by far the most sensible and cost effective course of action.

I come under West Herts NHS Teaching Trust. I am 77 and had a DXA test done yesterday. This was requested by the Endocrine consultant at Watford Hospital in response to a one off episode of having blood in urine in October 2023. The doctor advised to increase fluid intake to 3 litres 5.25 pints per day. I drink all day and pee all night but feel better for doing so.

As the freezing weather sets in, remember that Keir Starmer made a choice. £11.5bn for foreign climate aid, £22bn for carbon capture, £8.5bn for GB Energy, heaven knows how much for asylum seekers and public sector workers. I'm in same boat Zak. I agree entirely we are by far the safer drivers but the bureaucracy gives the civil servants something to do, probably shirking from home or wherever. I was a coach driver ferrying 70 kids around for min wage, cost me £85 a year for quick private medical (BP / read the lowest line) to earn min wage. D4 form has several pages to be filled in by me and the doctor. Finished.

They have now had all my papers for 4 months. Getting no suitable explanations from DVLA. I have read that over 70's are having problems getting licences returned. Hi still sitting in the Croft/Farm house not got the heating on yet its getting cold we had Hail and Snow today its 6-degC and windy from the Northwest, I am a Pensioner, and a Farmer so have had a Double Hit from the Rev Starmer and his 3 Monkeys ha ha good thing I was 70 at end of last month so had Cake US Farmers and Crofters are well used to Harsh living, Still have the 2 Sheep-Dogs on Sofa.

I am one of many with a frozen pension, I live in Russia I get nothing from the Russian government why should i, I have never worked here I was 68 when I left the UK 23 December 2013 that's 11 years ago this month. My pension is frozen to 2013 it never goes up. Retirement is our time to do and to go where we want. Retirement is the time we have from when we finish work until we die.

We need to vote strategically to ensure the vote is not split between Reform and Conservative and Labour get in through the backdoor. Hopefully they'll be some sort of agreement between the two parties to act together on this matter as Reform did for Johnson

The Welsh Senedd elections are May 26, local council elections UK irrespective of Raynors massaging the boroughs is May 25. This will be the first opportunity to bloody the noses of Labour and we need to ensure as many Labour councillors and Mayors if they're due for election are removed from office. This PM and his Chancellor are worse than inept, make sure they get our message.
